ACME Studio Loggia Gates Rollerball Pen (Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright)

ACME Studio's Loggia Gates Rollerball Pen pulls directly from the inspirational circular patterns Frank Lloyd Wright designed for the loggia gates of the Guggenheim Museum in Ney York. The deep hues of indigo and ebony spiraling around the rollerball pen evoke the feeling you get when you walk through the beautiful gates.

Inscribed on the pen cap's band, just below the pen clip, you will find FLW's signature. Lightweight and well crafted, the pen rests comfortably in your hand and the non-drying, fine point glides smoothly across any page. The pen arrives in a lined metal carrying case with a story card including Wright's biography. A perfect gift ready to give, although once you see it you might just want to keep it for yourself.

Its products are the result of cooperation with the world's leading architects, designers, artists, foundations, estates and institutions. ACME Studios was founded in Los Angeles in 1985 by Adrian Olabuenaga and his wife, Lesley Bailey. ACME made its first appearance with a limited edition collection of jewelry designed for them by Peter Shire, the LA-based member of the world renowned Memphis Group. In 1996, ACME began to organize a new category to explore; writing instruments! The first collection, which featured designs by Frank Lloyd Wright, Piet Mondrian, Michael Graves, Keith Haring, Kenny Scharf and others, was released in 1997 at the New York Stationery Show, to an overwhelming response. Starting in 2000, ACME revolutionized writing instruments by developing several new pen making techniques, which allows the designer to create new shapes, and new pen technology, using a variety of materials. In 2009, ACME went further and produced the first biodegradable, disposable pen with an ergonomic and also Earth-friendly design. Always on the cutting edge of design, ACME's writing tools revolutionized a new concept in the pen industry. Having collaborated with hundreds of top designers over the years, ACME has secured their reputation in both the pen and design industries with their fine writing tools.
